Registered Nurses who have expert knowledge to assess, diagnose and treat as they can prescribe medication for those in their care.  Their aim through telephone triage is that patients see the right clinician who can best help them with their presenting problem.  They also assess acutely unwell patients and do home visits where appropriate.

Practice Nurses provide support for GPs and also run their own clinics (further details listed on Clinics and Services page).  Nurses may also be involved in Medical Research Council and project work.  Our Senior Practice Nurses hold many qualifications including Minor Illness, Asthma, CHD, Diabetes Diplomas and Family Planning.

The phlebotomists duties include taking bloods, performing ECGs, registration screening, taking blood pressure and assisting GPs in clinics and chaperoning.  Linda and Joyce are now also trained for flu clinics, administering B12 injections and foot screening.
