Coronavirus Information/Advice

We are currently in a global coronavirus pandemic and are experiencing a significantly increased workload.  In order to provide a safe and sustainable service we are making crucial changes to the way we deliver your care.

At this time will be offering an alternative appointment system where your initial consultation will be by video or telephone call.  If after your initial consultation you need a face to face appointment this will be arranged.

Please do not attend the practice unless you have been advised to do so.

If you believe you have coronavirus symptoms such as a new cough, fever, flu like symptoms or shortness of breath we ask that you visit https://www.nhsinform.scot/illnesses-and-conditions/infections-and-poisoning/coronavirus-covid-19 and follow the guidance.   if you have severe symptoms or feel very unwell please call NHS24 on 111 directly for further advice, please do not call if you have mild symptoms as you will be stopping  them from helping the most unwell and vulnerable patients, do not call the health centre and do not attend the practice if you have symptoms of Coronavirus

If you personally have symptoms of coronavirus you will require to self isolate for 7 days and if there is other people in the household they will require to stay at home for 14 days from the start of your symptoms even if they don't have symptoms themselves.  If you require an isolation note please visit:  https://www.nhsinform.scot/illnesses-and-conditions/infections-and-poisoning/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-covid-19-general-advice as you DO NOT require a note from your GP.

The Scottish Government has identified high risk vulnerable people who are particularly at risk of COVID-19 if you fall under this category you will receive a "shielding" letter which explains this in detail, up until the 7th of April.  The rest of your household aren’t required to adopt shielding measures however will require to practice self distancing measures.  Details are explained within the letter to help give you and your family guidance and further information on shielding can be found on https://www.nhsinform.scot/illnesses-and-conditions/infections-and-poisoning/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-covid-19-shielding.  If you have received a letter a member of the practice team will contact you over the coming weeks.  if you have not heard from the practice and feel you may meet the "shielding" criteria please contact Administration at Ardach.
