Advanced Nurse Practitioners

Their role includes triaging calls, independent and joint assessment and care of acutely unwell patients, liaising with GP’s, nursing staff and hospital clinicians as to the most appropriate care.  They also undertake duty clinics to support self limiting and emergency based patient care where required.

Practice Nurses provide support for GPs and also run their own clinics (further details listed on Clinics and Services page).  Nurses may also be involved in Medical Research Council and project work.  Our Senior Practice Nurses hold many qualifications including Minor Illness, Asthma, CHD, Diabetes Diplomas and Family Planning.

The phlebotomists duties include taking bloods, performing ECGs, registration screening, taking blood pressure and assisting GPs in clinics and chaperoning.  Linda and Joyce are now also trained for flu clinics, administering B12 injections and foot screening.
